Ms. Megan Knapp is an accomplished healthcare professional specializing in Prosthetics and Orthotics, with a strong academic foundation and extensive clinical and technical experience that bridges theory and patient-centered practice (Knapp, 2025). She is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics at Kennesaw State University, where she maintains while working part-time as a Paramedic, serving as a Graduate Research Assistant to Dr. Mark Geil on the Infant Crawling Study, and participating in the student-led organization POP – Promoting Orthotics and Prosthetics. Her academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas, where she maintained authored a comprehensive research paper on Prosthetics and Orthotics in Pediatrics and Young Adults (University of Texas at Dallas, 2022). Megan’s clinical experience spans over 500 hours across multidisciplinary environments, including Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Scottish Rite Hospital, and the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center, providing her with skills in patient care, orthotic design, and prosthetic fabrication. She has further honed her technical expertise through hands-on fabrication training at Hanger Central Fabrication and the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Lab. Professionally, Megan has served as a Paramedic with American Medical Response since 2014, delivering advanced emergency medical interventions in high-pressure scenarios, and more recently as a Clinical Resident at Hanger – Spring Hill, specializing in treating pediatric patients with lower limb dysfunctions, scoliosis, cranial remolding, and prosthetics. Dedicated to research, innovation, and community engagement, she has contributed to academic documents, clinical reports, and awareness initiatives for limb differences through volunteer work with Blaze Sports and Camp No Limb-itations. With strong communication, problem-solving, and fabrication skills, Megan Knapp continues to demonstrate her commitment to advancing patient outcomes through evidence-based practice and hands-on innovation .
