Education 🎓

Winyi Solomon holds a Ph.D. in Political Science (2024) with a focus on social media platforms and youth political participation in Uganda. He earned an MA in International Studies (Area Studies) from the Graduate School of International Studies, Seoul National University, South Korea (2014), and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences, majoring in International Relations and Political Science, from Makerere University (2010). His early education includes the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education from Namirembe Hillside High School (2005) and the Uganda Certificate of Education from Uganda Martyrs SS Namugongo (2003).

Dr. Solomon has been a faculty member at Makerere University since 2015, initially serving as an Assistant Lecturer and later becoming a Lecturer and Coordinator of Graduate Programs. His responsibilities include teaching, examining, and supervising undergraduate and graduate students, as well as coordinating exams and assessments. He has also served as a Peer Educator and Researcher at the Patriotism Secretariat, Office of the President (2010-2015). Additionally, he lectures at the Uganda Military Academy Kabamba and the Senior Staff and Command College, Kimaka.
